We recommend that all children have a compresensive eye exam prior to starting Kindergarten. Undiagnosed vision problems may be the cause of some learning difficulties. Having your child's eyes examined early on may help improve their performance in both the classroom and in sports activities.
If your child is an infant or toddler and you suspect a problem, we reccomend that you schedule an eye exam for them. The most common eye problems in young children are strabismus, where an eye that turns in or out, and amblyopia, where normal vision does not develop in one eye. These problems are most effectively dealt with when children are very young.
