Kyle J Schell OD: Providing Eye Care to Victorville

For over 20 years, our practice has been providing  quality eye care for our patients in the Victor Valley. Our optometrist and experienced team of professionals are here to provide a personal experience and professional care, with state-of-the-art equipment. We follow the latest clinical research to diagnose and treat problems that arise while performing a comprehensive eye exam. An eye exam can help to catch early stages of eye diseases that may go unnoticed otherwise. That's why you should schedule an appointment for a comprehensive eye exam today.

Why Eye Exams are Important

According to the CDC, 11 million Americans over 12 years old, need vision correction. Regular eye exams are important in preserving your vision and early detection of diseases. Eye care should begin before a child begins Kindergarten. Not only can it detect any vision problems, but also, undiagnosed vision problems could be the cause of learning disabilities. Beginning your eye care at an early age will begin the start of your vision history kept by your optometrist.

Eye exams test visual sharpness, depth perception, eye alignment, and eye movement. A comprehensive eye exam will check for health problems and may even be able to spot other health issues like high blood pressure or diabetes. Without regular eye exams, some diseases may go unnoticed and cause permanent vision loss or blindness. Some diseases don't show any signs or symptoms at first, so early detection is important. Some diseases include:

  • cataracts
  • diabetic retinopathy
  • glaucoma
  • age-related macular degeneration

Services We Provide

At our optometry office, we provide comprehensive eye exams for adults and children. If necessary, a prescription for glasses or contact lenses will be provided, and we will help with fittings and finding the right pair of lenses for you. We will work with you and make recommendations for your eye care needs. If you are thinking about getting a refractive surgery, like LASIK, we do have a partnership with Invision Eye Centers. Ask us for more information on any of our services, or if you have questions on the results. Each appointment is individualized to meet and fit your needs.
